Purposeful Innovation

The Origin of Sambria

Sambria Engineering and Expert Services was founded in November 2024 by Cameron Orr. The company was established to provide high-quality engineering and expert witness services grounded in the principles of honesty, integrity, truth, dignity, honor, and hard work.

The name “Sambria” is inspired by The Five Kingdoms book series by Brandon Mull. In the story, the kingdom of Sambria is a place where a unique form of magic known as “shaping” allows ordinary objects to be imbued with extraordinary abilities. One notable example is a sword that can transport its holder to another location simply by pointing it in the desired direction and shouting “AWAY!”

The kingdom is described to the main character, Cole Randolph, by his mentor Durny, who explains: “This part of the Outskirts is the most susceptible to deliberate physical tampering. Some things I have seen shaped here make me wonder whether anything is impossible.” (Mull, Brandon. Sky Raiders. [Bk. 1]. New York: Aladdin, An imprint of Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing Division, 2015, p. 69.)

This concept reflects the spirit of Sambria Engineering and Expert Services: to make the seemingly impossible possible by transforming ordinary systems, products, and ideas into solutions with exceptional capability and clarity.
