Design
Equipment and System Design
Design work includes development of mechanical systems, equipment, and supporting circuits. Projects range from heavy equipment to specialized systems, with attention to functionality, manufacturability, and intended use conditions.
- Heavy Equipment Systems – Aerial bucket trucks (MEWPs), dump trucks, and garbage trucks.
- Trailers & Transport Equipment – Utility trailers, dump trailers, and HAZMAT tanker trailers.
- Specialized Equipment – Mining simulator rooms, video wall lifting systems, and drill pipe handling equipment.
- Mechanical Devices – Pool filter systems, pickleball equipment, and lifting mechanisms.
- Access & Support Systems – Hanging scaffolds and liftgates.
- Fluid Power Systems – Hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical circuit design.
Testing
Controlled and Field Testing
Testing is used to assess system functionality, durability, and safety under expected and extreme conditions. Work includes both component-level and system-level evaluation to support design validation and performance verification.
- Equipment Testing – Aerial bucket trucks (MEWPs) and hanging scaffolds.
- Hydraulic Systems – Casing rotator hydraulics and related components.
- Manufacturing Processes – Fiberglass boom winding operations.
- Mechanical Systems – Tarping mechanisms and blender systems.
- Energy Systems – Solar charging device evaluation.
- Safety Testing – CNG tank drop tests and flame exposure tests.
Analysis
Engineering Evaluation and Failure Assessment
Analysis is performed to evaluate system behavior, structural integrity, and potential failure modes. Work includes both predictive modeling and post-incident evaluation, supporting design decisions and technical conclusions.
- Equipment Analysis – Aerial bucket trucks, trailers, and drill pipe conveyors.
- Lifting & Rigging Systems – Spreader bars, forklift attachments, and personnel lifts.
- Thermal Systems – Propane and diesel heater trailers.
- Failure Evaluation – Cracking and structural failure analysis.
- Finite Element Analysis (FEA) – Simulation of stress, deformation, and load response.
- Standards Compliance – Evaluation against applicable codes and requirements.
- Safety Review – Identification of hazards and risk conditions.
